Why? Even though all the major embassies are located here, roads may be closed and traffic may come to a standstill only two or three times a year due to political security measures. Street theft and snatching are virtually nonexistent. Even if you accidentally leave your car unlocked, I personally have never encountered a thief here. People care about one another and treat each other with respect. It is also quite possible that highly respected scientists, academics, or professionals may walk into your restaurant or café as ordinary customers.
